Yawning is done when there is a lackof oxygen to the brain. Therfore, your jaw drops allowing you to take a deep breath (or Yawn) and take in a larger then normal amount of oxygen then what you would in a normal breath. This helps stimulate the brain and this is why after a few mins of yawning you feel refreshed through doing so. So if people in the same room yawn at the same time, you need to get more oxygen in that room. Open a window or get a oscilating fan to help the movement of fresher oxygen (with less amounts of carbon dioxide in) throughout the offices, or where ever it is the mass of yawning is occuring. Hope this helps.

:: Why Yawn is Contagious ::
The yawn reflex is often described as contagious: if one person yawns, this will cause another person to "sympathetically" yawn.[3] The reasons for this are unclear; however, recent research suggests that yawning might be a herd instinct.[4] Other theories suggest that the yawn serves to synchronize mood behavior among gregarious animals, similar to the howling of the wolf pack during a full moon. It signals tiredness to other members of the group in order to synchronize sleeping patterns and periods of activity. It can serve as a warning in displaying large, canine teeth. This phenomenon has been observed among various primates. The threat gesture is a way of maintaining order in the primates' social structure. The contagion of yawning is interspecific, for example a human yawning in front of a pet dog can incite the dog to yawn as well. Oddly, sometimes sympathetic yawning may be caused by simply looking at a picture of a person or animal yawning, or even seeing the word yawn.
Yawn~ It is damn contagious... I just can't help it... Did you just yawn??
Yawn~ Maybe it is time for me to go to bed... Here it is already 11:34pm... Good nite y'all... Yawn~ (^_^)

Yawning is contagious as we yawn due to a lack of oxygen, so if one person yawns they are taking oxygen out of the air, therefore everyone else breathing the same air will suffer from a lack of oxygen, and have to yawn as well!
