Ever go fishing ? Ya know how some are keepers & some get 'thrown back' ? If you are "wife material", He's looking at you as more of a 'keeper'. The only rating higher that "wife material" on the guy scale is that of "keeper". good luck in attaining that final upgrade (if that is what you want).

Well when a girl is considered to be wife material it means that Your boyfriend will go have sex with anyone he see and like and then you (wife material) would be the one he comes home for dinner or sex. And then acts as if every thing is ok

That she's the one that that best complements the man and would be the best woman to mother the children and help in raising a family. There is something extremely special in a woman thats "wife material" because not all women can fit into that mould.

it could be a compliment or an insult,
1) He feels that you are the person for life. Fun exciting, loving...
or
2) He feels that you are already to settle down, have had you fun and are getting boring.
it really depends on the context, I have never told a woman she is 'wife material'. When it is number 1 then the question falls shortly there after, if not, then the hatchet. Ask him how he meant it.

It means we think she'd make a great wife and/or mother. Usually these types of comments are made after enjoying a meal that's been prepared or to see a woman interact well with children or something. It's never meant as an insult. Could probably be considered flirtatious

Whenever I say "You're Girlfriend material" I mean, she's so wonderful, I'd like her to be my girlfriend, the same when saying "Wife Material."

'Wife material' is simply what it implies. It means that you can make a good wife (and possibly the guy saying that is interested to have you as his wife). You are a good homemaker, socialise well and are fantastic in bed.

Ummm, that you would be an ideal person to spend a life with. Meaning:
You have a sense or organization and cleanliness
You are Responsible
You can cook
You don't party too hard, but still have a great time
You would be a MILF
You would be a great mother

Lots....If the guy is serious then he means that he is looking forward to marry you, have kids and spend rest of his life with you. If he is a not so serious person then he may be saying this to all his gf's so he can **** them like a wife!!!

we mean that we either want to marry u or that hes thinking about one of the two so prepare you self, but if im wrong (which sometimes iam only because im human) then im so sorry that u didnt marry ( this isn't the gospel to what will or wont happen its just a possible idea thats all)
