A. Because you can create pretty, think extreme make over, it is terribly difficult to fix dumb. Plus dumb people have a tendency to talk a lot.

I was engaged to a gorgeous girl who lacked a great deal of intelligence. I used to think that looks where important because it made me feel better about myself when I was with her and that everyone thought she was hot. But, the relationship did not last and a lot had to do with the fact we where never on the same page. Now, being single and you asking this question makes me kind of realize I would now rather go with answer (a).

Intelligent. Smarts stay forever. Looks are only skin deep. I knew an 'attractive' girl, but when she spoke, she'd say things like "money keeps the relationship going" or "I only want to marry a rich guy, you have money, right?" She became ugly VERY fast.

Physically attractive any day. Because smart girls are way to controlling. Less intelligent women usually let the man be the man. Believe it or not that is an important part in a relationship. Ironic how smart girls don't get that.

If you are looking at this situation for the long haul, then I suggest you pay attention to the smart one. If you are in it only to see what may come of it then, take the good looking one. That way, when she gets older, You'll be looking at a stupid ugly woman. The smart one will continue to have something left. As a little pointer, We always choose people who are more like us. So, you tell me. Which one will you pick?

You want a little of both, not a lot. Good luck getting a lot of both hahaha. If you did, better watch out nobody steals her away.
You want a woman you're fairly attracted to that you also connect with fairly well on an emotional/intellect level. Then the good qualities of both will enhance you're overall love and admiration for her.

You left out one very important variable: who is more fun to be around?! I'd take looks over intelligence, if she was just an easier person to spend time with...and I'd take intelligence over looks, if she smiled a lot and wasn't so consumed with herself that she needed constant reassurance just to get through her day. It's a simple question that's not quite so simple to answer!!

If I had a choice i'd prefer someone I could have a good conversation with as long as they weren't completely minging. Lets face it, if your gonna stick with them neither of you are gonna look great at 70 anyway!
