Rent the film "Rosemary's Baby" (1968) by Roman Polanski starring Mia Farrow. It was filmed in the Dakota and there are a few interior shots. Great film as well.

Its one of the few buildings where the interior as well as the outside is landmarked. I've nover seen photos of the inside. I know until about 20 years aho the elevator was original and water powered (just like the original at the Eiffel Tower)
