I guess you want to know.. how in yahoo.answers.. to chat with some one.
If you get interest with some one's question or answer, then click their Avatar. It will lead you to their profile. If they have selected to display their IM yahoo messenger id.. it will be displayed..
just click on it to chat with that person..

First go to the Yahoo! home page. There you will find more than one link to Yahoo! Messenger. You can go to Yahoo! Messenger by searching it from the web also.
Download it on your computer. Of course you will require an ID (and of course a password). Incidentally, you can access all Yahoo! services through a single ID and password. Which means that if you subscribe to Yahoo! Mail, the ID and password you use there would enable you to download and access Yahoo! Messenger. No seperate ID and password will be required.

well i used an online chat site to meet my lady --- we then went to yahoo messenger to talk privately
to use yahoo messenger --- go to thr yahoo site download it start it and log on using your ID --- then add people who you want to talk to --- as long as they want to talk to you
