Corn is not a vegetable but a grain the same as wheat. Corn raises your blood sugar in the same way as eating sugar as it is a high carb food. I do not eat corn but then again I do not eat anything high carb. I watch things that raise my blood sugar to watch my weight.

Popcorn isn't really healthy, but it is known that popcorn can lower your hunger. If you are hungry, you can make popcorn and after a few handfuls you're not as hungry as you thought you were. And without all the oil and butter and salt, it's not a high calorie food! So, eat it up!!

No they are not! But they do not have any nutritional value also and will stuff your stomach making you to cut down on the regular nutritional diet. So it's not directly bad, but yes can be harmful if made a habit. Once in a while it's OK to have fun.

Its actually considered a whole grain. So it is actually a healthy "junk" food. But like everything in moderation. How you do it is great. Less oil and better the better, but of course should still taste good.

It is a good snack, unless you are diabetic or have a systemic yeast syndrome. Corn is a high glycemic food (that's why they make corn syrup out of it), and yeast apparently likes to travel with it (because yeast needs "sweet" to survive).
I am currently using almonds, sunflower seeds and soy nuts (unsalted when possible) mixed together, as my main snack.
