I really admired John Lennon. I think his consciousness was expanded after the intensive LSD usage and the stay in India in the 1960s. He saw clearly. The day he died I was very upset. He was a guru for sure.

Jesus looked like an Arab man since he was born and raised there. Thus he would have had olive skin and short black hair like other men of that region. He does not look like the blonde blue eyed Caucasian man in the paintings and he never did. There is no reason why he would or should stick out in the crowd by his appearance being different. If he was around today, he'd be accused of being a terrorist by many, based on his looks.
Based on the essence though, I think it's definitely possible but probably not that likely. John Lennon was anti-Christian though. And Christianity today is the product of Paul, which was in direct opposition of Jesus's teachings in favor of his own.

No he wasnt a modern day Jesus, but after searching high(pun) and low he realized that peace and love were the only things that could change the world. He was not killed for his words but by a mentally challenged man with delusions.

Sorry but John Lennon didn't believe in Christ so no he was not a modern Jesus. He had the right words for peace but that is where it ends.

John Lennon was self destructive for most of his life.Everytime things went too well,he'd have to screw them up.It used to drive McCartney nuts! There was nothing spiritual abut him.It was all image. He had a beautiful wife and son he left for Yoko, was hooked on heroin for a while, went on a two year drinking binge in L.A. Finally when Sean was born he settled down, just to get smoked by some creep. He wanted to mix with regular folks but when you're that famous ,you just can't.

In historic days they theory which you have been an immortal if people during background remembered your call. I agree that John could probable in comparison to this. He usually reported he grew to become into purely a guy who used to have a rock and roll band. MQ: Bono for confident. MQ2: Glam bands attempt. Like lady Gaga. yet all that flash is to masks the shortcoming of skills.

John Lennon was a great singer songwriter but also a man with a lot of faults. So I would have to say no.

I think that is a good modern comparison of someone who we know in recent pastimes. Although John was never on a cross as such he did believe in the good for the world. He did die for what he believed in and as we all know John plays a large part in the bible. Great question A+
