Start with a liquid pyrantel pamoate...can be called Nemex or Strongid. Effective against rounds and hooks..the most common parasites in puppies. You worm puppies and mom on a schedule of 2,4,6,8,and 10 weeks.
Follow the dosage on the kind you get. It goes by weight, so you need that to dose it correctly.
A fecal sample..a composite one from several puppies...should be taken to the vet at about 7 weeks, right before the puppies go to new homes. This will make sure there is nothing like whips present. For that you would need to do the Panacur,or Safeguard. Generally, that costs a lot more and you can start giving that at 6 weeks. It is given three days in a row, and also goes by weight.
Just be sure to do the mom with the puppies or you are wasting your time because the pups will get them back from the milk.

Do not use piprazine wormers!!!!! You find these at most grocery stores and they are not as effective.
And you can only buy Panacur from a vet that has seen the dogs. It is a prescription. You can get it over the counter as Safeguard at most feed stores, but it is pretty expensive if you are doing many puppies and a mom.
