I hear from last nights questions that mormans do not believe in blood transfusions, well what if their kids life depended upon a blood transfusion, are they going to let their kid die because of that belief, but i dont think they would be allowed to do that , i am sure the courts will step in and force the parents to save the life of their kid because if the mormans do not allow their child a blood transfusion and the child died then the parents are murderers. so what do they do for the kid?

I am not sure about mormons, but unfortunately my mother is a Jehovah's Witness and their cult does not allow their members to receive blood transfusions. This is allowed in the hospitals for some insane reason. My mother recently had surgery and the doctor specifically asked her, " So you are telling me that you do not want me to give you blood even if it means your death from a procedure that would not normally cos death?" Her answer was yes and if she had needed it she would have just died. My father is Baptist and when I was little I almost needed a transfusion and my mother refused and would have let me die. My father overruled her of course. It's not that they are horrible people that do not care about life; they are simply brainwashed and ignorant.

Wow, where do I begin. Firstly, there are absolutely no Latter-Day Saint (Mormon) beliefs, neither were, nor ever will be that would prohibit blood transfusions or donations. I am personally an avid donor myself, and even know an elderly guy who has donated blood 80+ times, and most of those were literally at a Church builing where we friequently hold blood drives.
Secondly, I am informed, correct me if I´m wrong, that it is Jehovah´s Witnesses who are contrary to donating blood and the like.
Thirdly, as a youth of 20 w/o kids, if in the future I have kids and unfortunately one of them would need a transfusion - I wouldnt hesitate to hop onto the gurney and have them take all they needed for my kid, provided I had the right blood type. There ya go.

a parent is allowed to intervene in their own childs medical care if they do it for religious purposes..i do not know though if this extends to the point at which a child dies..and it most certainly shouldn't. After all..a child is never truly attached to any particular religion as they are not old enough to have had the chance to form their own beliefs based on intelligent though and knowledge. I believe that this is wrong too.

Hon, it is Jehovah's witnesses that don't believe in blood transfusions. Mormons believe that their god was a man before he died and ascended into heaven to become god of this planet.

I stay in Independence Missouri it particularly is grand needed station for Mormon offshoots. while the community of Christ (previously RLDS) began to ordain women folk (that they had run plumb out of male descendants of Joseph Smith) and repudiated the e book of Mormon (with a view to connect a "mainstream" Christian corporation) the call went out "permit the bifurcating initiate" the unique RLDS do no longer even call themselves that from now on yet best here on the city there are six or seven diverse "branches" (study breakoffs) of RLDS. It grew to become right into a "Mormon Reformation" in decrease than a decade. We (what they call around right here "Utah Mormons") made confident that they knew that they have got been welcome to return abode and a fabulous style of persons did make the transition. yet something are nevertheless there.

I've never heard of that one, and I've been a member all my 20+ years of life. Perhaps you meant something or someone else? For I would certainly save my child, no matter what it took.

I dont know if mormons follow that ideaology or not...I know that jehovah witness' do. its easy to pick them up as a cult because they usually do the same thing. they pick one verse of scripture take it completely out of all the other verses and than build a whole though philosophy around it. for example the blood deal come from:
Acts 15
20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
this is where they get the blood tranfusion thing from....but here is the scripture in whole
Acts 15
18Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
by blood they refer to the gentiles use of it in sacrifice to idols and false gods...remember this is paul writing about the romans who made even human sacrfices to "gods".
