I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in 1 visit. I also had what's called local anesthetic (shots). I had no problems dipite my teeth presented a challenge for the dentist that pulled them. 2 of my wisdom teeth had to be cut into sections in order to get them out without damaging my jaw bone. I was fine, and didn;t need pain meds afterwards. But that's just me. Everyone is different. Just relax and let them do what they do best. It'll be fine.

They must be much braver than I am. I had one removed with just shots and four and an extra is more than I want to consider.
That's a lot of work at one time and make sure they give you codeine, not just Advil for after, you should be able to make it though the surgery OK, but later, that's gonna be a bit*ch. Make sure you have soft foods and clear soups and jello for a day or two, and plan on at least a day at home. Your jaws are gonna hurt. It takes a lot out of you and it is surgery so be considerate of yourself.

That's how I got mine out. No complications at all, the numbing lasts for quite some time and by the time the numbing started to end, I just take a few advil every couple of hours and it didn't hurt all that bad. Or stick Ambesol back there and you are back to the numbing anyway.

There shouldn´t be any trouble (as long as the one doing it is an oral surgeon) that is a very common procedure. You may get swollen and feel sore for a couple of days, but that should be it. The good thing is that you can have lots of icecream!

I did mine the same. Not by choice, the dentist would not put me under. He said he wanted me to be alert - what if one of the teeth went down my throat? ewh.
Anyways - it wasnt that bad. I didnt feel a thing. Until after, get some good pain pills. and if you smoke quit or use cotton balls. Dry socket hurts really bad.
They number me and did their thing - wasnt bad at all.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out with just local anes. All you feel is pressure. All the IV sedation does is "raise" your pain threshold and gives you temporary amnesia. There isn't really any need for IV sedation.

well, i hope they're not impacted. everyone recommends to be put under if that's the case. i was put under and it went great for me. my friend was not and she said she really wishes she had been. it's not that you feel pain, it's that you can hear all the grinding and pulling and are aware of what they are doing. after i had mine out, i alternated taking motrin and vicodin (spell check that) every 3 hours for a couple of days.

my brother wasn't put under at first, but they couldn't get his out, they were jerking so hard he thought they were gonna take his entire jaw out... turns out he had to have major surgery and was put under... it was an all day thing... and he was real sore for a week and a half or so.. good luck... i think it'd be worth it to just pay the money my dear.

I hated sitting in the chair for hours. With them tugging and banging on the teeth. Afterwords I felt like crap. I'd go with the knock out drugs!!!
