Hi,
I work as a beauty supply manager, and we sell a lot of chi straighteners.... but we get a lot coming back, with people telling us that they burning up!
I really like the hot tools curling and flat irons... they get hot, they stay hot... and they last for a long time! I have had mine for about 8 years, and i use it daily. They are also a lot less expensive than chi.
Another good one is called a her styler, they are really good.... compare with the chi, and cost a lot less! they get HOT like up to 400 degrees, and come in colors ..... pink, lavender, blue, and orange
anyway hope I have helped!

i always find that hair straightners are a trial and error type thing. Just because it worked well on one person doesn't mean it will for another person.
But some good ones are the Sedu, Solia, and Chi. And i've heard good things about a T3 tourmaline straightner.
I have a Solia and I'm happy with it , I've also used the Chi but it made my hair to flat (i need a little volume)
theres a really good website where i bought my straightner called folica.com. They have product reviews on all their straightners. And a comparison of the straightners also.
The prices are really good. I paid around 80 for my straightner normally it would have been over 100. Plus you always get free shipping and a pouch/mat to store the straightner and protect whatever surface you put your straightner on.

Ceramic Hair Straighteners are good, I'd have to say the chi is the best.
Make sure you use a protective to put on your hair, to keep it from drying out though.

Check out folica.com, they have a ton of user reviews on various irons, including Chi irons. I ended up getting a solia myself and have LOVED it!

I really like the Hot Tools Brand. They are pretty inexpensive. I think I payed $49.00 for one. You can get them at any beauty supply store. I don't know if you live near a Sally Beauty or anything like that. Look for a ceramic one it won't burn your hair as bad.

Chi makes the best ones. They are pretty expensive but both my sisters have bought them because they are worth it. Be careful with it because they are very hot and can burn and damage your hair if they are held on the hair for too long.

Ceramic flat irons like they sell at the mall. They don't burn the hair at all.

I swear by my GHD's, they're about £90, but really good.
If you pay a bit more, you can get thicker ones to do more hair at a time.
And mind, always use heat protection syrum/spray on your hair
