my thighs r huge.. i hate it. but i cant seem to find a good excersice to slim it down the way i want it to. i would like to know which is the best n rapid way to slim down my turkey thighs.. ne one know ne tin that could help me?

You should take a 3-pronged approach to help you reach your goal.

1. EXERCISE
a. Cardiovascular (at least 4 to 5 times per week):
1. Run/jog - worked best for me
2. Any type of cardiovascular exercise (eg. aerobics, stationary bike, elliptical trainer, kickboxing) will burn fat if done for the correct amount of time and intensity (minimum of 30 to 45 minutes done at your target heart rate).
3. Invest in a good heart rate monitor and good running/training shoes.
b. Strength Train
1. Lift weights 2 to 3 times per week.
2. Incorporate a routine for your entire body, not just your legs.
3. Weight training will increase your metabolism. The more muscle you have, the more calories your body will burn even at rest.
4. Do not train the same body part on consecutive days. Give your muscles 48 hours to recover and rest.
5. Don't buy into the theory that lifting weights will give you bulky muscles.
c. Stretching/Yoga/Pilates
1. Do some form of flexibility work for your muscles a few times a week to stay pliable and limber.
2. This will also decrease your risk of injury.

2. NUTRITION - Some basic info:
a. Portion control is key. Learn the proper portions and what they look like.
b. Lean proteins, whole grains, vegetables and fresh fruit are best.
c. Limit your intake of processed food (eg. white flour, sugar, refined carbohydrates).
d. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day to stay well hydrated.
e. Figure out how many calories are appropriate for you to eat each day. There are plenty of websites that can help you do this.
f. Eat 4 to 5 smaller meals throughout the day, rather than the standard 3 large meals.

3. REST:
a. Get at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night.
b. Give yourself at least one day off from exercise per week to let your muscles recover.

I understand your pain. I care most of my weight in my thighs and butt. The thing I found that works best is increased cardio (I prefer the elliptical and treadclimber) at least 45 minutes 5 days per wk. This will slim you down all over, but you must add targeted toning exercises. Lunges (3 sets x 15 reps), squats (3 sets x 15 reps), standing leg lifts (stand with legs hip width apart step out with right leg into a squat and stand raising leg hip level...repeat about 20-30 times on each leg). Remember you don't need to add weights, you don't want to add to your legs just tone what's there. This may seem like a lot but it works. I dropped 2 sizes in 6 weeks. Don't forget a sensible eating plan.

Cycling! Cycle on moderate to fast pace, as long as your heart's pumping well, you're doing it right. Do it 3-4 times/wk for 45 mins each time and I guarantee your thighs will go down in 2 weeks.

Eat better. Eat foods found in nature. No foods made in a factory. None.
Get active. Everyday do something. Walk. Run. Dance. Whatever. Get a dog, take it for a walk. Play with your kids if you have any. Get moving.
