A 2003 V-6 has a timing belt. It is a 3.4L
It is recommended to be replaced at 90K. If the belt breaks you will NOT bend valves.
A 22R 4 cylinder does have a chain, NOT the V6

I think the v6 has a chain. And I believe the interval was 75k or 90k miles. However on my 96 4 banger I got some obscene ammount of life like 130k on the 1st belt before I sold it. Wen you do change it though, you've got to take off the water pump and since it'll be in your hand, take the chance to replace it then rather than wait til it's another headache.
