Death to me is not frightening so much as the thought of being in pain for a prolonged period of time before hand. I almost died a couple of years ago and I was really too out of it to be afraid. I would have just passed in my sleep and not known any difference. But to die with pain would not make me happy at all. I look at death as simply a period of sleep between this life and the afterlife so I take comfort in that. If I am wrong i will be none the wiser once I am dead anyway, so be it.

The only way u can be afraid of death is when u are not sure where your eternal resting place will be.
To loose the fear u need to get right with your creater.
The one the has the final word of where your soul will go,
after your bodily death.
Then no matter what u can live with peace concerning death,
and be ready for it when ever it's time for it to come.
Be Blessed, seek the Lord and his justice and all else shall be added on to u. For He did not come to condem the world, but to bring salvation through Him (Jesus).

It is not to me. I am Rational Spirituality.
You may read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. If you grasp it, neither will you be afraid of death, if you live your life with a good intent, until your last breath.

For me the fear is leaving this world behind. I'm having too much fun! Plus, I hope I leave behind a good-looking corpse. What if I soil myself while dying? Some poor shmuck has to clean it up.

There is no waking up from that sleep. That is why we should live our lives to the fullest each day. You never know when it will be your last.
