Methadone is a very powerful drug, and individual doses vary for each person. If you are using methadone that you have bought illegally be aware that you could overdose on an amount that would seem 'normal' to somebody else - especially if you are not using opiates regularly, and therefore have a low tolerance (it doesn't take very much to affect you). If you are using methadone regularly - prescribed or not - taking a higher dose than normal or using other depressant drugs (like alcohol, heroin, tranquillisers or sleeping tablets) on top could cause you to overdose.
Methadone stays in ypur body for 6-12 days.

Methadone is a synthetic narcotic...it will show up.I don't know if it matters to have a doctors note, unless you mention it before the test and explain the reason for it.

If you're on the program and can prove it then no, but if this is for a job, the employer may not want even a legally sanctioned methadone patient on the payroll.

If it is there without a medical reason/doctor's prescription for it. AND depends on what test they are using. Typically they screen for :
THC, benzodiazepines, opiates (methadone does NOT show up here), cocaine, amphetamines, PCP, barbiturates and alcohol.

A full tox test will detect the methadone.

YES. UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE INDICATING WHY YOU USED THAT DRUG.

Methadone is a synthetic opioid, used medically as an analgesic and in the treatment of narcotic addiction. It was first brought to market by the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company.

It's a common pain medication. Just be sure to tell the administrator that you are taking it and it shouldn't be a problem. They are looking for recreational things you would be inclined to hide and not admit to.

I would think so. It is a drug. If you can prove you are taking it under a Dr.'s care it might help.
