How does he know you have a crush on him? OK, everybody has to eat lunch right?? So ask him to lunch--that's not a date, but it will give you time to get to know him. Then maybe you can ask him if he wants to get some coffee on break...not a date right? Then take it from there.

WELL LETS SEE, HE DOESNT DATE CO WORKERS BUT HE FLIRTS HEAVILY WITH YOU, AND HE KNOWS YOUR SHY AND LIKES YOU..........HONESTLY HES SETTING YOU UP. DONT FEEL BAD THOUGH, ASSURE YOU, YOUR NOT THE FIRST. HE HAS ALREADY FIGURED OUT YOUR KRYPTONITE AND HE WILL USE IT TO GET WHAT HE WANTS. HE WILL CONTINUE TO FLIRT WITH YOU BUT PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT NOT TO DO ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF WORK, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN HE WILL BE WILLING TO GO OUT WITH YOU, BUT HE WILL CONTINUE TO TEL YOU ITS SOMETHING HE DOESNT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH. THE DATE WILL BE WONDERFUEL AND HE WILL PLAY ON YOUR SHYNESS AND FACT THAT HE ALREADY KNOWS YOU LIKE HIM. HE WILL BUILD UP YOU CONFIDENCE WITH LOADS OF COMPLIMENTS AND REASSURANCE THAT YOU DONT HAVE TO BE SHY AROUND HIM. (SETUP) THEN WITH YOUR GUARD DOWN COMPLETELY YOU WILL MAKE THE MOVE FOR HIM AND SLEEP WITH HIM WITHOUT HIM DOING OR ASKING A THING. IT WILL BE GREAT BECAUSE YOU MIGHT FEEL HE IS THE ONE, BUT IF NOT THE NEXT DAY, I GARUNTEE YOU WITHIN THAT WEEK HE WILL BACK AWAY FAST A LEAVE STANDING WITH THE SAME LINE I DONT DATE COWORKERS, IT WAS A MISTAKE AND I SHOULDNT HAVE DONE IT I DONT THINK IT WILL WORK (THE KILL) HE WINS YOU LOSE. IF YOU DECIDE TO FOLLOW THROUGH ITS UP TO BUT DO SO AT YOUR HEARTS RISK. IF YOU WONDERING HOW I KNOW, WELL JUST SAY ITS IN THE HANDBOOK AND ITS BEEN USED BEFORE.

He is doing you a big favor, he is right it is not good to date someone at work. What is it don't work out? Think about it. Maybe you should start off as just friends and maybe one day he might trust you enough to date you. You never know how a person is until you date them, show him that you are not a crazy girl and won't act like a fool if the relationship don't work and he might change his opining.

You know, his excuse of not dating co workers sounds a little lame to me. Then why is it ok to flirt with co workers? If you are not going to put up, then ......... See what I mean? He could be just using you in a way. I am worried for your feelings, especially if you are introverted. Gear down a little on this. It doesn't sound right.

You say he doesn't date co-workers (probably a very smart choice, since you never know what the future holds-if you break up and still work together it'll be extremely difficult); sounds like just flirting to me.

the guy is smart not to date coworkers, ive been in that situation before.....i dont know what kind of positions you guys have at your workplace but....i was dating this girl once and got put in the position to where i had to fire her, i seen it as only business but she took it personal. its not something i wanted to do something i had to do. it may not at first but in the long run it will make your job very difficult, i recommend stay with the flirting and leave it at that.

flirting can be a sign that he likes you. the only way to know for sure is to talk to him about it.
