I use to drink coca cola a lot, but in the last 6 months I haven't drank it much. I try to drink water and fruit juice. I will maybe drink 1 a month, but here lately I have been craving coke so bad. It's like I can taste it in my mouth all of the time. I know that I am not pregnant, but what would make me crave coke like this and how can I cut the cravings?

Im my opinion its not the Coke you are craving, its the sugar. When you switch over from a diet that is high in sugar, and coke is a good source, then your body craves teh sugar, and you are craving coke because it is a very good source of sugar. What I would do is probably eat more sweet fruits, which contain natural sugar in order to get the sugar you need. Also like someone else said if you are going to drink coke, drink thte teenien weenie cans or ths small glass bottles if available

Drink a Coke. Seriously, one is not going to hurt you. I have spells where I will go without it for weeks, but like you, I crave it. I just love the taste of Coke and the caffeine high that comes with it too, probably. lol Get a six-pack of those "half" cans they sell now, and keep them in your fridge. Next time you have a craving, drink one of those. It's a small amount but it will satisfy you. You can have a craving for anything that you like...doesn't mean you're pregnant. :)

It's okay to have a can every day as long as you don't overdo it all the time. Do you like Diet or caffeine free coke? Atleast that way you either cut out the calories or caffeine which is surely better than the regular coke with 100 cals per can and caffeine with about 38 or 39 grams.

If you took a sip of coke you probably would be satisfied, it's not all that. You'll realize that there are things you enjoy more, but when you forbid yourself to have something, your mind craves it. Coke has a lot of caffeine in it, and sugar, both addictive. Maybe that's what you're craving. Are you a coffee drinker, or tea perhaps.

I am still breastfeeding my ten-month old and I have always drank 2-3 caffeinated drinks per day. People told me that it would impact my daughter's sleep patterns though it never has one bit. I have never noticed any difference in her from when I have or haven't had caffeine. I can drink a diet coke at 8pm, nurse her and put her to bed at 8:30 and there is no impact. My Mom also told me that she drank coffee while nursing me and I am okay!!

You said you used to drink it "a lot" so perhaps it's just your mind wondering what happened to that habit and that caffiene it used to get regularly...

If you want one, drink one...fruit juice, while having vitamins is still loaded with sugar so you're not doing yourself a huge disservice by having a coke on occasion if you drink sugary drinks anyway...

Treat yourself once in a while...the cravings will likely subside and you can focus on other things rather than your desire for something you've decided to deprive yourself of...

I have to agree with Eugene 65 add lemon slice to your water. But more importantly, why deny yourself a drink of coca cola? You don't have to drink the whole glass or can... just satisfy your taste bud.

Unless you have a medical conditon... it should not produce any addiction.

You should't deny yourself the coke, or else you'll want to drink a whole giant bottle later.
One small glass of coke wouldn't hurt, but don't go buying the 1L bottle.

In your mind, associate images of the packaging, the drink's colour and the taste of it with things you hate or are disgusted by.

Can of coke - handfuls of puke
Red packaging - mutilated dogs
Drinks colour with - diarhoea swimming with maggots

That's how I quit smoking by telling myself that every puff of nicotine was like smelling a rotting carcass!

It worked for me and now I havent smoked for 7 years.
