Nope....it is absolutely NOT normal.

If the proper medication was used, by 3 days later any worms that WERE present will have already died and been digested/dissolved by the dog internally. *Occasionally*, a dog MIGHT pass dead roundworms within 12-24 hrs of treatment...but not usually. If you are seeing worms now, that means that you did not effectively treat him for the type of worms he has...since he obviously still has them.

If you used an OTC dewormer, I can 99.999% guarantee you that it had no effect on the types of worms you are seeing. Those dewormers are cheap for a reason....
You need to call your veterinarain and get the proper medication.

Every single person who answered that this is normal is flat-out WRONG, and should not have answered a question they are not qualified to answer....since they obviously don't understand parasitology. :-/

It is quite normal for them to have diarreah after being treated for worms. They come out paralysed and dead. You might see some that are almost dead. Sometimes the puppy might need a second dose, depending on how bad the infestation is. If there are still concerns , and your puppy still has diarreah for longer than 2-3 days, after worming, please take him back to the vet. Don't forget he still has 2 sets of shots to come. The vet should tell you if it is in a week or 2 weeks time. Worm your puppy again when he is 8 weeks old Then worm him once a month till he is 6 months old Then for the rest of his life, he must be wormed every 3 months.

Yes this is normal. The pups body is getting rid of the worms. As soon as the pup poops, you must clean it up though. Don't sweat it, I know it's really gorse, but it's the only way for the dog to get rid of the worms. Continue the wormer meds until you don't see the worms anymore. If it is a one time perscription, then everything will be fine with the one treatment.

of course it is. The worms are being pooed out because they are dead. Which wormer did you give? Hopefully one from your vet as pet shop ones are dangerous and could kill the pup. You need to repeat the worming in a weeks time.

Perfectly normal. Her body is getting rid of the worms and eggs. Remember to clean up after her ASAP so that she or animals can be reinfected.

ERM YES. WOT DID YOU THINK WAS GOING 2 HAPPEN TO THE WORMS LOL

OH BTW I'VE RANG A VET AND THE RSPCA AND THEY SAID THIS IS NORMAL.

THE WORM'S ARE EATING THE FOOD YOUR GIVING HER SO THAT MEANS SHE'S GOT LESS 2 POO OUT SO YES YOU SHOULD START SEEING THE DEAD WORM'S AFTER 24 HOUR'S BUT THEY CAN TAKE UP TO 3-4 DAY'S BEFORE THEY ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF THE SYSTEM.
AND DON'T FORGET TO GIVE HER HER SECOND TREATMENT 8 DAY'S AFTER THE FIRST TREATMENT TO MAKE SURE THEY ALL GONE.

DID YOU GET PUPPY ONES FROM THE VET?
TO PUT YOUR MIND AT REST RING THE VET OR RSPCA
