Sounds like you need to be seen by a dermatologist - someone who specializes in skin conditions will be able to either look at it and diagnose it or take a small skin scratch/sample for analysis.

Here's an old fashioned remedy that I have used many times for my daughter that seems to always get the weirdest rashes that no one can seem to diagnose...

Get the iced tea sized (Lipton has the big ones) tea bags put two or three in a warm (NOT HOT) bath of water (NO SOAP) and soak in it once or twice a day for 10 or so days. Don't rinse it off. There is some kind of acid in tea that dries up and clears up some rashes. I can't guarantee that this will help, it doesn't always work...but 9 out of 10 times it has worked for us. FYI it doesn't seem to stain the skin, but I wouldn't use a white towel to dry off with. Hope this helps!!

If it's forming circles, then it sounds like ring worm that yes, you would have contracted from your dog. The most effective treatment for ring worm is tea tree oil. It kills the fungus responsible for the ringworm. It's also 100% natural. Using it regularly will also prevent any future occurrences.

Sounds like you have ring worm. There are over the counter products you can buy to make it go away. If you scratch it it will end up spreading even more. What have you come in contact with ??? Usually unsanitary water or even tree climbing.

Have you seen a dermatologist? My daughter had a weird rash that nothing helped. We finally went to a dermatologist who took one look at it and diagnosed it. It turned out to be pityriasis rosea, a rash caused by a virus. Her rash went a way after about 2 months. If you haven't seen a dermatologist, I suggest you see one.
