Heh I'm not in the army. It's homework for film studies! Just wondering what would happen if I were to make a film about that. Thanks for the answers!

It is against Army Regulations. It is called Fraternization. A Sergeant is not allowed to "Fall in Love" with one of their soldiers. If the NCO started to have those types of thoughts then the NCO needs to remove themselves from that position. Or move the soldier. Legal Action can be taken against that NCO. The NCO is held to a higher standard. If you are talking about a Drill Sergeant to a Training Private?? Then the Drill Sergeant would most likely be receive a Relief for Cause NCOER and be punished under the UCMJ. All UCMJ action is still left up to the Commander though.

I spoke with someone that this had happened to. Anyway he said he did not receive any ucmj actions (but of course it does not look good on his counseling) but she was separated (probably was not honorable). He married her after that and pcs to another duty station. If someone is planning to do this they are only going to find trouble. I would not reccomend these types of relationships.
