i work with a guy i used to date... hurt his feelings because of a stalker... all i wanted to do was to protect him and make sure nothings gonna happen to him since my stalker said that he'll hurt the guy i was dating... i reported it to the cops... now, the guy i used to date thinks im a psycho coz he got mad when the cops called him for an investigation... was it a big mistake? now i cant work around him anymore, i cant function well around him, thats why i decided to just move somewhere far... i know its not a good idea, but am i gonna do the right thing?

Since the stalker said he would hurt your bf, you must know who the stalker is, right? Why have the police not contacted your stalker and why have you not filed charges against him. If your stalker is a phone voice and you have no idea who he is, my best advise to you is to get the h--l out of dodge. Move from Chicago, if at all possible, do not let any of your friends know where you are going and keep in touch w the Chicago police until your stalker is found. It is a very good idea to move, stalkers sometime kill.

Well I would say that if He is the one to be upset and He is the one with attitude, why dont You stay and let Him be the one to move, thats a LONG way to move and Chicago is a LOT different climate than Cali, Dont let him make you run across country because he has his panties in a bunch, If you stay where you are, after awhile he will mean nothing to you and your life will be as happy as before you dated the guy, Remember - "Things Get Easier With Time"

I was in a similar situation. I did move, but not far. I don't think you need to move halfway across the country, but if it's that difficult at work, then first find a new job and then move closer to where it is... or just move a few towns away. The world is a big place, you won't be bumping into him too often if you leave just a little space between you two.

Wow that's does seem like a big move to make over a guy. I guess it really depends on family & friends & so much more to know about your situation. Could you possible just change jobs without making such a big move? I guess I've always felt it doesnt solve anything to run from a problem.

Sounds like you are still hung up on him. Sometimes guys have protective urges, by trying to protect him you may have implied distrust and insecurity instead. Running away by moving is not a solution. Make sure you do talk to him and let him understand what you actually meant. DO listen to his views on this and you may have a more complete closure/relationship.

why do you have to move to Chicago. why don't you just change jobs or if your job have shifts just change shifts. if you don't know anyone in Chicago i wouldn't go but that's your life you have to live it.i don't understand why would he get mad at you because the cops investigate him what do he have to hide. well good luck anyway hope you make the right decision
