in the US? Is it too much religion? Lack of religion? Apathy toward each other? And how can we fix it?

I don't have a problem with religion itself; I have a problem with the HUGE influence religion has in politics and education in the States. It's very frustrating if you're not Christian.

I think that there are many things that have contributed to the decline of the US. There is immorality, lack of caring for others, violence, dishonesty, underhanded politics, false religions, etc. As a nation. ( and the world in general too) these things have become too common.
I find fault with it because God gave us, especially the US, many blessings when this country was founded. False religions and dishonest people running the government, have managed to screw it all up. Things seem totally beyond repair....except for turning our hearts to our Creator, and living the right way. This is the only way to fix it.
But, most people are very self-centered; so how likely would this happen?

Looking too much at the material side of the life, sometimes masked as a religious reason. And this leads to an overall arrogance towards others and other nations, while peace and democracy will do the job, but perhaps not earn money... from an European who has a lot of American friends and loves America...

I find it is apathy towards each other. All of us needs to try more without insulting. You never know what a person is going through until it has happend to you. But if we put ourselves in their place and try to understand, I think that would be the first step.

The thing that i find fault with is the fact that most churches just don't admit the fact that they are nothing but a business. It's a church near me & they are having a concert & they are charging $50 at the door. It's nothing but a hustle to get some cash, because at the end of the day thats all they care about. It's easy to use Jesus to make money, because most people are looking for guideness & hope. It's nothing but exploitation of lost souls.

I don't think it is religion. There are far too many uneducated people in the US to effectively and safely erradicate religion. So I would say that the major problem is either a lack of education or overpopulation.

We were given a system of government designed to work under certain principles and guidelines. Many today know little if anything about our foundations and so we are losing them. Any system will fall when the foundations are destroyed. We owe it to those who sacrificed so much to give us our freedoms to at least know and understand what it is. So many don't know our Constitution or Bill of rights or understand the principles of government we are founded on.

We need no encouragement in finding fault. We do plenty of it.

More to the point would be to work at finding ways to cover the faults of each other and to find ways to work together to bring about good.

Apathy toward one another. Not wanting to get involved. This is partially because our heads are in computers, our ears attached to a cell phone.....

Mans thirst for wealth and power.
It effects everything, everyday.

They take everything in the name of wealth and power even my faith. My faith has been twisted into whatever purpose it serves govt.
Jesus said give cesear (govt) what is cesear's, the rest is Christs. Leave my faith out of your politics.
It is frightening to me when religion is mixed with govt. Its a bad mix always has been.

That its full of americans.

[That would be a combination of the high degree of christianity, the obscene levels of patriotism for a country that just isn't all that fantastic... and the insistance on having their own collection of sports because they're crap at everyone else's. I honestly can't think of anything about america that I cannot find fault with.]
