It can be your missing pills - I stupidly tried to down my anti depressants 2 days ago and halved my dose - today I am having a really bad day xxx

Yes missing one day of anti-depressants can really mess you up depending on the type you are taking. Please, get back on the meds. I have been on anti-depressants for years and missing one day of any one drug messes me up. I do not believe you are a complete klutz, and everyone has one of those days, but being off your meds just makes it worse.

No, missing one day should not cause a problem. It took a month for me just benefit from them as that is the time required to raise the levels in your brain back to normal.
You will get mood swings, just like everyone else does. The pills will just raise the base level about which you swing.
Take it tomorrow as normal and you should be ok.

Better still try and reduce your dependancy on them, if you can.

Do you think you really need them? In my opinion now you have two problems:
1. Be depressed.
2. The pills.
Try to live without both, good luck.

No, I was on them for 8 years, you need to think positive thoughts, easier said that done I know. Everyone has bad days, but the good will soon outway the bad.

Even though you are taking anti-depressants, doesn't mean you won't feel down once in awhile. But missing one day won't hurt you. But you don't want to keep missing days. I sometimes feel the same way. Hope you feel better!

Yes, but usually there is more of a lag time unless you just started them within the past month. Some medications are worse for this than others. If it happens a lot after taking the medication for at least 6 weeks tell your Dr. it isn't working and can ask him if he will change it.

Yeah, that's it. Before you know it you'll have a sensation in your head like traffic interfering with a TV set too. Get some more soon.
