Hypothyroidism typically presents with decreased metabolism. Thus, you may feel you have low energy, feeling like moving really slow. Your heart may be slow as well, and you might think slowly also. You'll also have cold intolerance, complaining of the cold when everybody else is ok with it. You may have a decreased appetite, all the while gaining a few pounds.

Children born with hypothyroidism usually are small and dim-witted. They're called cretins.

Weight gain, mental and physical lethargy, dryness of the skin, constipation, arthritis and, slowing of the bodies metabolc process may occur.
