they are all over the tree and drop down onto the driveway. they do not have wings but little 'feelers'. they kind of look like those little bugs you find under logs or stuff thats been in the same place for a long time except they are white but when they get squashed, their blood is blackish colour. i have read about aphids and adelgids but they dont look the same. any ideas???

they look the two aphids or spider mites. i don't prefer to apply alot of chemical compounds on vegetables so i take advantage of an insecticidal cleansing soap spray for the two. It interferes with their digestion while they war to consume the leaves. If the infestation is incredibly undesirable it ought to accomplish a little harm to the flora and stunt the production of the peppers, even with the undeniable fact that it in all possibility won't kill them. be confident you spray the backside of the leaves through fact that's the place they have a tendency to be and lay their eggs. I would not harm to hose them off daily until the difficulty is minimized.

I live in the USA. I think it could be silverfish but then I am only going by your description. Please check out the web pages listed in my sources. They are many species of insects that survive by eating plant material. I have also included a link on termites. Some insects have the ability to camouflage themselves to their environment.
