there is more to the situation than i mentioned. the daughter is my boyfriends daughter, not mine. she is a habitutial lier. has put her dad in jail because she gets mad at him when he tells her no so to get revenge, she lies about him touching her. this has happened so often that i can not take anymore, neither can he. but she is his daughter and he loves her, i finally told him she has to leave my house, but because she isnt 18 until the middle of november, i wanted to know if i can get her out of my house early. i do not trust her around any man, especially her father. quite a problem isnt it? i do need help on this one.

Depends on where you live, but in USA in Missouri, you can't kick them out until they're 18. They can however, leave on their own at 17 and you can't stop them. You are also legally responsible for them financially. So if they do something stupid, like run up a credit card debt and not pay it, you have to. Trust me on that one. Cost me almost $3000 to pay off my daughter's credit card bills.
You only have 10 days to wait, lucky you. I'd plan a party if I were you and celebrate the fact that the trouble maker is gone.
And to anyone crying about 'how can you do that to a child'? Evidently, you've never had to put up with years of stress and the emotional abuse that can come from having a trouble maker in the house. And at almost 18, she isn't much of a 'child' any more.

Well, actually a teenager can leave the house at 18, but I think it is not the true thing. If a person has an enough pratice to live apart his/her family, then there must not be any problem. I think she can leave the house, if she has enough practice for living her own life. Ask her if she has practice or you can talk to her about what she gonna do and after that you can decide about her leaving the house.

Of course she can leave now if she so chooses, for the most part as soon as she was 17 she was free to go on her own.

What's going to happen then, are you going to wash your hands of her and totally forget her or, are you going to be waiting for her to screw up then run to her aid.
In the first place your running from your problems, she'll be back, you can bet on it. Get to the bottom of the problems first, try and solve them, then ask her to leave. Something has happen to create this.
