No your not old you are just respectful of others feelings, it does my head in too and there is no need for it, I think banning cigarettes should be put on hold and we should get rid of the music on public transport that blares out of these kids iPods first, its probably more of a health risk than passive smoking too.

You're not getting old.
I'm at college and I have to put up with school kids on the bus playing music on their phone every time I get a bus that school kids use. It's so irritating, it's like listening to a broken record player with the needle scratching on something.
Not only is it sh*t music, but it's tinny and sounds rubbish coming out of those rubbish phone speakers...

I sympathise with you. I'm also fed up with the fact that queueing for the bus has gone out of the window. You can stand there for 15 min and when the bus comes all the late comers just barge straight on. In London its made worse now the children get free travel they just push past everyone to get on.

It bugs me and I AM old. I thought the whole idea of ear phones was so that you could listen to your music without disturbing anyone else?. They must all have hearing problems already. No wonder Britain is fact becoming the hearing aid capital of the world.

i am only 20, so i would consider myself old, but it annoys me, i don't use the tubes very often but i do use buses regularly. and i don't know if the same happens for u but i don't like it when the top deck of a bus is associated with youngsters. allot of the time i will make my point clear and ask the person to turn their music down weather they are old and allot of them are shocked when i do this, but then again its their music, and i don't have to sit and have to listen to the music, its public transport not public music display

No. Where I live you can get a ticket for driving with your car radio blaring.

I don't think you're getting old. Most music nowadays is... well less than desirable. I'm sixteen and that annoys me everyday on the bus home. Congrats, you are young. Haha.

I'm 22, not old, and I find this incredibly annoying. I find most things that kids/teenagers do annoying. Most of them seem to be obnoxious little twats. I'm pretty sure I wasn't like that when I was their age.

Getting annoyed by this is not a symptom of ageing.
Whatever age you are, being subjected to someone elses music is always annoying if you don't like it or it is too loud.
What would indicate your advancing years is how you react to it..........
