When was the last time in the last 30 years the American forces won (that dosn't include Greneda where people were armed with vicious unripe bananas).

I'm talking about operations on your own. The only thing the americans charged in WW1 was 10% interest on the money they lent. WW2 well you can obviosly live with Facism.

Since independence, the US has lost ALL long wars (1+ years) it started:

a) 1812
b) Vietnam
c) Beirut
d) Iraq
e) Afghanistan

(Civil wars don't count. How exactly do you lose a civil war?)

If it's not a quick and easy win by overpowering force, the US does not and has never had the stomach to "stay the course". The US only attacks "easy targets" (eg. Philippines, Mexico, Grenada), and in all five cases, the US assumed they were easy targets and learned the hard way. (The US even managed to lose a short war against an "easy" target: Cuba.)

The US has never "won" long wars either. In both World War I and World War II, the US ran and hid until they were forced to get involved (i.e. the US didn't start the wars), and in both World Wars, it was the British and Russians together who won them, and NOT the US.

The US may have technology, numbers and dollars to win, but it has always lacked - and still lacks - the three most important things it takes to win a long war: heart, spine, and stomach. The US doesn't have those, while the Europeans, Africans, Asians and the muslims do.

Additional:

The US hasn't won any wars in 30 years. As I said above, if it's not a quick and easy invasion, they won't do it.

I also notice a lot of negative ratings for my answer. That's the yanks for you, they never could deal with the truth. (They still can't admit their own country's behaviour caused 9/11.)

I'll tell you the joke.

I sit here in the USA and watch with fascination as Paris burns and tens of thousands of British Muslims call for death to anyone who insults their prophet. I see a brand new mosque, with capacity for over 100,000 is being built in London. I read stories out of Sweden and Norway about police who no longer venture into the Islamic ghettos now found in all their large cities. I read about a dead Dutch film maker and cartoonists in hiding. I read about politicians with 24/7 police protection as fatwas have been issued for their deaths.

The birth rate amongst native Europeans is half the replacement rate. It's 1.3 in Greece, 1.2 in Italy and just 1.1 in Spain. This while your fecund Muslim population breeds on at 5 times that rate.

You're a dinosaur on the road to extinction. Your grandchildren will beg mine to let them come to America by the middle of this century. That or they'll learn to pray 5 times a day toward Mecca. God knows they won't want to live as dhimmis under sharia law in jolly old Londonistan or on the Continent of New Arabia.

Go ahead and laugh. It's the laugh of a fool.

Hey Hawkeye, why don't you try getting on the other side of the American forces if you think they have lost everything. Saddam had the Worlds forth largest Army and it wasn't even enough to slow the 3rd Armored. Seems you need to be eating some of those bananas if your no smarter than that.
Shouldn't your name be Dove-eye? Or is it Chickenhawk?

Good luck in Iraq y'all, I may not support the invasion but I always support the bravery of anyone who will put their name on the dotted line.

And that alone takes courage.

And for that I keep my mouth shut on any objections I have, for I do not want to add fuel to the fire, where my comments may be taken by the enemy as anti support.

SUPPORT THE TROOPS
Lest we forget.

Perhaps you should not question the bravery of so many fine young people. Perhaps you should not insult the US this way. Oh that's right the dems won the house and now we will be the laughing stock of the whole world.

those unripe bananas had fuses in them, but then the ignorant would not know that. I remember how the us forces were asked by other countrys to help them in time of need but no one remembers that.

More ignorant rhetoric from some idiot whose arm finally gave out from ******* to too much internet porn. Relax buddy, the feeling will come back soon and you can get back to it. Until then, take a nap and leave the discussions to the grown ups.
