Well if a certain species becomes extinct then its difficult for the hunter to find an alternate source. It will be difficult for the hunter to adapt in hunting because the old species is now extinct. This would unbalance the food chain. If the hunter becomes extinct because it cannot find an alternate source, another animal suffers. Its explained in this simple theory, in the absence of one species, either the population of one species will grow uncontrollably or the other species will suffer until its extinction.
