According to Terry Wogan, you should eat them when naked and sitting in the kitchen sink!

Mangos are holy and best eaten straight.
Wash your mango.
get a sharp steak knife. look at the ends and determine which way the pit is oriented inside. The pit is thinnner in one direction, and you can tell which way it is pointed in there but I can't describe how without looking at it.
Saw the 'cheeks' off of the pit, and then get the 'fingers' off the sides of the pit. Most of the fruit is in the cheeks.
Take a cheek, and slice a deep tic-tac-toe pattern, diagonally on the fruit. Then splay the fruit open and bite the chunks off the skin or slice them off with a knife. (or tear off with fingers)
I think someone has got it more clearly up above me, but I want to add that the trick to never getting mango fibers in your front teeth is all in how you eat it, and when in doubt, cut long pieces before eating.

Slice 2 sides of the mango off (skin as well).
On those sides, slice lines (not through the skin) in colums and rows on the mango 'flesh'. Then turn 'inside out' (I guess that's how I'd explain it)
Then the middle part, peel the skin. Eat the 'flesh' around the stone and throw it away.

Depends if you mean most fun or cleanest...
I find it more fun to slice off pieces and chew on them. The surest, cleanest way is to cut it more or less in half (either side of the stone) and then trace lines across the flesh, to the skin but not quite through it. Do this horizontally and vertically to create cubes. Once you have sliced the flesh like this, you can push the half mango inside out, exposing the cubes to be eaten easily.

Providing its not the ones you find in supermarkets which are solid and green, you want the ripe yellow ones, massage them in your hand (no dodgy comments) and tear of the end which was attached to the branch of the tree it was on and suck the juice out from the mango. Its much cleaner.
Alternatively you can cut it into pieces and remove the nut inside.

As above, but make sure you eat Pakistani (honey) mangoes which are golden yellow in colour and are without doubt the sweetest, juiciest mangoes you'll ever eat. Get them in Asian supermarkets - you'll be hooked! Forget the red/green ones you find in ordinary supermarkets - they are tasteless and dry compared to Pakistani ones.

I agree with most of the above but one other tip. If you cut off one end of the mango, you can stand it on that end to make the other necessary cuts.

Peel off the skin.
Then cut of the sides.
Then eat those, then eat the part around the seed.
Taking off the skin helps it stay more doesn't go all over the place.

section the mango into segments (like an orange) with a sharp knife. Skin is easily removed. Hmm I can taste it now!
