My daughter and her friend are in an afterschool program together.Yesterday they needed to use the restroom but they lock them up after hours. Anyways...the leader of the program escorted them to the main office bathroom where the secretary unlocked it. My daughter went in first....washed her hands...then her friend went in after . Now....the secretary claims that one of them pooped in the bathroom sink. I'm positive that my daughter did not do this but I can't prove it. Any advice?

Actually, I wrote one thing but after posting it I went back and read your question again but it would make more sense that it was the other girl if your daughter went first..surely if she did that in the sink then the next child to go in would have been horrified and said something to the secretary...unless the girls had access to the bathroom without the secretary being there and cooked up this crazy scheme.
I thought I was a pretty good kid growing up but after reading your question it brought to mind when a girl and I peed on the teachers staff room floor when we were in primary school. This girl thought it would be a very funny idea so we did it and then we used their teatowel to mop it up.lol. Strange but true.
It would be a horrid shock though to be confronted with that information regardless of whether it was your daughter or not..none of us want our kids to do anti-social things.
I think if you let her tell you her version and then explain to her why it is wrong without judging or accusing her, then you can probably let the matter drop. Hopefully the other mum is doing the same thing. Parenting is such a mine field isn't it? Good luck with this problem.

First of all usually an afterschool program should have access to the facilities and should not close them til the program is over.As for proving the poop i would think if the girl went in after your daughter had gone to the bathroom and she saw poop in the sink she would of said something or ran out of the bathroom grossed out, some sort of reaction.Obviously the friend did the pooping. If it were me and my friend and i knew she was gonna do that i would have gone first too just makes sense you don't wanna sit there going potty with poop in the sink. Right? Good Luck :)

I don't know what the bathrooms are like where you are, but our kids can't reach the sink with their behinds to poop in it. And for the life of me, I can't see them fishing it out of the bowl.
Perhaps one of them girls had an accident in her pants and put it in the sink our of embarrassment and therefore would not confess to this. Not to be gross, but were your daughter's undies dirty? Can you talk to the mom of the other girl?
Before the bathroom was locked up, does someone inspect the bathroom, you know, to make sure no one is in there and could the poop have been in there from earlier?
I work in the "corporate world" and this is a sign of retaliation by certain cultures to the upper management level.Perhaps a pissed off janitor?
Talk to your daughter, ask her if she noticed the poop. Don't make a big deal out of it if she's young. If she's older, 12 on up, really push to get to the bottom of this.

what how old are they .. unfortunately there is no way of proving if it wasn't your daughter but ask her is she says no.
trust her... and tell her how nice it is that you too can trust each other .. if she has done it she will be racked with guilt and confess if she hasn't she knows her mum will back her up no matter what and she can come to you with the truth again .. good luck

DNA testing will solve the problem. Even the suggestion will have the guilty party confessing.
