He manicly drinks water and won't eat for doays then throws up..

Hows his blood sugar? Either he isnt all that well controled or he has more problems
Has he been checked for adreanal disease? there is a high rate of diabetes and either cushings (overactive adreanal) and addisons (underactive adrenal) and either could cause these symptoms.
And yes science diet makes a diabetic diet (ask your vet)
Check out the groups section of yahoo,there are actually THREE yahoogroups lists for diabetic dog owners: Diabeticdogs Diabetic_dog and Caninediabetes. The first is the largest. I dont know which is best, but can testify that such support list can be a GODSEND.

I hate to say it, but is it time to let him go? He doesn't sound like he's having any quality life anymore...To me he sounds like he may have Cushing's...
You need to check with your vet, especially due to his other medical issues.
I hope that you can let him go, for both of your sakes. You want to know that you did the best for him, not you. You may end up with alot of guilt later thinking that you kept him alive to satisfy your heart...
Its a hard decision...I know...
