I dyed a strip red but it has washed out to a light pink and i'm thinking of putting a darker box dye on it.

well putting and Dye in your hair is bad for it, there is no "waiting" period per se. Whats best is that you don't do it to begin with, but seeing that you won't listen to me anyways =] it doesn't really matter at all as long as you get the dye out before coating it again unless you're able to spray over it without mixing the colors.

good luck!

You should wait 4 to 6 weeks before you dye your hair, so you should be good.

if you just did a strip it should be fine. if you are doing a strip again, go for it. If you are doing the whole head and at home be very careful. Read the directions thoroughly but always, always remember when they tell anyone reading the info to leave the color on for 45 minutes not every head of hair is alike. try not to fry your hair. you may want to do a deep conditioning treatment or hot oil BEFORE you color. sometimes some color comes out with treatments

My hairdresser says to wait 4 weeks if recolouring / perming after colouring, so I guess you're all set!

BTW, no green-coloured shampoos for dyed hair, something in the green chemical causes a reaction with the hair and the dye to fade more quickly!
