This is a school singing production thing, and though I realise you need to know my voice, I 'd like to have some basic ideas of who has good, sort of 'showy' songs that I can (attempt) to sing and show off my *cough* good *cough* voice. So any ideas? I'd be most grateful.

"You Raise Me Up" by Westlife would be a perfect song for any production number or even for a contest piece. You know why? because the lyrics of the song is so tauntingly meaningful' the melody will display the richness of your voice from the baritone to the alto and many more. I strongly recommend that you listen to it. It can be downloaded from the Internet. Just search for it in the search engine of either yahoo or google; or you can buy the cd at your music store.

what genre you passionately sing?
what are those repertoire u had....
your voice type may varry too.
but as a singer like me, personal advice,
sing the song that you had memorized the lyrics, so that everything flows evenly, smoothly...
then sing the song that always plays a part in your heart... cause honestly u wont even know u expressed it and had it your best because its naturally in you,
rather than singing what people say... you know yourself, and only you knew whats best for you...
