When I moved to Japan I really realised what was important to loose weight. I've been here for about 2 months and have shedded 20 pounds with little effort. I'm still eating whatever I want too. Most countries serve really big portions, and coming from the states and moving here really opened my eyes to it. I don't know if you live in the UK the states or not, but even in the UK their portions are big, I've been to England before. What we think as 'normal' portions of food is usually wrong. Meals that we eat for dinner should be around the size of our fist, accompanied by vegetables, rice etc. When I first came to Japan, I was hungry but after a few days I was used to it, now my family is so surprised how little I eat! Don't listen to these guys about not eating carbs. You just need to eat good carbs like in pasta and avoid bad carbs like in sugars. Carbs are generally easy too loose, and if you ONLY eat proteins, when you get off this diet you're going to gain a lot back. The KEY to weight loss is obviously exercise. I can still enjoy my ever day foods as long as I exercise. If you have stairs like stated above, or a bicycle, those are great. Most of the weight loss and muscle gain I have gotten in the past 2 months is because I ride up massive hills everyday to and from my school. Gravity is your friend! Stairs and other things that are really hard to do due to gravity, are usually the best exercises for you because they help tone, and you'll break as sweat as well. Swimming like stated above is also good for you because you use almost every muscle in your body while swimming. One of my friends used swimming to loose a lot of weight herself. Good Luck! If I could do it, you can do it too!
I went down from 247lbs to 227lbs/112kg to 103kg. I'm still a big girl, but man oh man does it feel good to let off some weight!

Cut out the carbohydrates and eat protein. You will probably feel awful for a couple of days but then you will feel great. Drink plenty of water - at least 3 litres daily - walk, don't run, to lose weight and take the stairs whenever you can. Even standing up burns calories so make sure you get up and walk around at least once an hour. Running up and down stairs is a great cardio exercise and who needs a step class when you have stairs. If you don't know any exercises to do - try dancin around to the music channels! It's only 13 pounds - you'll do it easily!

If you've got a bike get out for an hour a day. You will easily loose the weight.Drinking lots of water will help to. Swimming is also a good exercise and is cheap, and obviously don't eat any crap. But basically any exercise where you are getting a sweat up will help. Even yoga or Pilate's would help. You can get a basic DVD to follow. As for ab toning sit ups or lying flat and raising your legs slowly will help the more repetitions the better.

Hard but possible. You really have to be disciplined.

First work out a 1500 calorie-a-day diet and stick to it. If you do lapse, don't give up and return to the diet next day.

Jogging is good. At least 20 minutes five times a week. More is better.

I personally favour yoga. Try Richard Hittleman's 28 day yoga plan. Very cheap from Amazon. Follow the plan daily.

You can do it.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

My advice to you is to go swimming once a day and i am POSITIVE you will lose a substantial amount of wieght. It is the BEST form of excerise and it only costs about £2 to go there. And eat 5 small meals a day, do not eat 2 hrs before bed. It will work if you keep to it, and healthier food goes without saying dun it!!?/
