Pray to God that He interpretes the Bible to you. Read it always. It will guide you to the right direction.
Joshua 1:8-9 "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

theyre not sects; theyre both strands of the same thing.
my personal view is that it really doesnt matter. becoming too focused on 'sects' or denominations can cause all sorts of problems -and growing up in northern ireland has let me see the hatred and hurt that can be caused by this.
if you do choose christianity, youre better staying away from all that. find a church that is based on what youre comfortable with, rather than what denomination it is.
any questions? fire them in my direction :)

I recommend that you pick up a bible and read and study. I also suggest that you pray along the way for guidance. I have never considered myself belonging to any one '' sect'' as you call it. Although I do belong to a church, I am basically just a bible reading and believing christian, who believes that God sent his son, Jesus, to earth to die on the cross for our sins, that we might have eternal life in heaven with him.

You have to decide for yourself. Do some reading, and go to services at different churches to see if the way they worhsip is right for you, and if you agree with what's being preached.
Try going on an Alpha course in your area to discuss things with other interested people.

Neither, both are essentially the same religion, they just look different from the outside. Both worship a trinitarian godhead which is confusing and false. Humbly ask God himself for guidance.

There's a lot more to it than that - if you decide protestant, then you have to choose a denomination e.g. Jehovah, mormon, baptist, methodist, lutheran etc... depends what you believe in and how you like to worship.

The right one. But be careful, if you pick the wrong one, you go to Hell... and I've heard from a couple people that Hell totally sucks.

Big difference between the two. You must read up on both and decide for yourself.
