What we don't seem to understand is that some religions don't believe in cutting your hair.
While I love long hair if it was causing me to have headaches, I'd get it thinned first and see if that works. I suggest a hair salon for this as they can see what they're doing easier than you can. Thinning shears do what the name implies, they thin the hair by cutting some of it shorter and leaving some long. Maybe the hubby won't notice as long as it still looks long.
If the thinning doesn't work, then have it cut to the longest length you think will rid you of the headaches but pacify the hubby.
Really, if it's causing you pain then you should over ride the hubby's vote and get it cut. Or when you have a headache, take it out on him, being grouchy because of the pain should let him know that something needs to be done.

if it were me i'd cut it and tell him that its my hair and my comfort, but you don't sound as if you'd be comfortable with going against his wishes. would it be a problem if you had layers cut or it thinned out, but kept the length? basically anything would be noticeable if your husband is this fixed on the length of hair. i have thick hair and the weight is too uncomfortable when its long, that's why i get layers or keep it shorter. i hate to tell you what to do, as you're obviously stuck between your wishes and those of your husband, but i think you really have to ask yourself why your husband has so little concern for your happiness and comfort. it sounds like a very difficult situation. i'm not all that up on the bible, but surely there must be something in there about caring for you and treating you well that you could put forward to your husband.

Bible does NOT say you should not cut your hair. That's just crazy to say.
Go get your hair cut, dear. Long, thick, heavy hair does not mean a womans crowning glory. In fact, usually it looks horrible because it hasn't been properly cut or cared for. Please cut your hair. It's your life and your body and YOUR comfort. Just goout one day, get it cut and have a luxurious massage, then go home. It's all done, and what it your husband going to do or say? Whatever it is, it's all finished!

Just cut it. If you're speaking of the Bible, that is some rabid misinterpretation there. Paul states that hair is a woman's head covering, but we were never commanded not to ever cut it.
If it's your husband's beliefs and not yours, bring up some of the things from the Old Testament that he might not want to follow. I'm thinking circumcision and not combining two types of fibres in the same garment.

you can have your hair cut with out chopping it off. I started with a 3" trim, then 4 pretty soon I decided it was my hair. I had to take the extra time to wash all that hair, dry the hair etc.. If you are suffering with all the weight then he should consider your feelings and what this could be doing physically. If your hubby just wants long hair tell him he could grow his own hair. REMEMBER it is your body and hair

The bible doesn't say you shouldn't cut your hair!!
Every christian and devout christian i know have always cut their hair.
I think your husband is a control freak! I'm sorry but a guy telling you not to cut your hair? I hope he doesn't control your life!!
Go get it cut love!! Make it a fun day just for YOU!!
Get it cut and layered so it is lighter!! If your husband hates it, let him hate it - if he tries to do anything more sinister like assault you call the police!!
I presume your husband cuts his hair?? What an utter asshole.
The world does not live by the Bible my dear, so you should not be expected to either.
GET YOU HAiRCUT! && THiNK OF DUMPiNG YOUR DOUCHE HUSBAND - Maybe you should also ask him what part of the bible says that you cannot have your hair cut. For centuries people have been cutting there hair!

how short can you go?
Is there some that can be cut off and still be classed as "long enough?"
Visit the hairdresser and state your case and see what they can do for you, but dont try it yourself as you may live to regret it and look horrible. Maybe some layering by hairdresser will suit the situation and keep the hair long?

it's your hair and your life..don't be a fool..get it cut and feel comfortable..if your husband doesn't like it too bad..You are the one that has to live with it every minute of every day.
I have never heard of anything so ridiculous unless you are some weird kind of religion that wears rags on your head, but it doesn't sound like you are.
Don't ruin your hair by trying to fix it yourself, treat yourself to a day out at the beauty shop..

Cut your hair and join the 21st Century.
Tell hubby to grow HIS hair and see how he like it.
If you allow him to be so controlling and something as insignificant as this can cause such a problem in your household, you need to get out and get a life!
