That is a good question. Morpheus, in the movie Matrix, says: "there is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path".
What is the truth of our existence? The irony of life? We must walk the walk, not merely just talk the talk ;)
As Yoda says, "there is no try, there is only do, or do not".

The first step to becoming a Christian is to leave Britain because you won't find much here now that the PC brigade are on a roll.

Religions are not about filling in forms, but about the feeling of faith you have inside.
If you believe in god and you feel at home with christianity and the bible, you're a christian. No matter form or written documents.

Don't know if you're joking or not, but I will answer you anyway. You need to believe that sin is punishable by death. The Bible says 'the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ'. You have to believe that nothing you can do can pay for sin, and that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". That is why God sent His Son Jesus, who being perfect, took on imperfection. He took the sins of the world, the sickness, poverty in His own body and exchanged sickness for health, poverty for riches, sin for righteousness. He paid for all of this by the blood He shed on the cross at Calvary. In the Old Testament times, people sacrificed animals, shedding their blood to make atonement for their sins. Jesus paid the price once and for all in His own blood. When you believe that Jesus paid the price for your sin, and thank Him for His great sacrifice, you will be saved and will have eternal life. Then you repent of all you know to be wrong, and be baptized. Read God's Word daily, so that God can speak to you, and pray constantly, thereby speaking to God. Your life will be totally transformed. God bless you.

To become a Christian you must forget everything you know and start believing in a book full of fictional stories and characters. Then you must preach to all non-believers until they either become a Christian or kill themselves out of boredom.
My advice - become a Buddhist. They don't annoy anyone.

Religions are like insurance policies. Why did you choose Christianity, you should have shopped around a bit. Check out what the costs are and if any of them pay out in the event of a claim.

A man came to jesus and said,"what can I do to be saved".
He commented that he had followed all the comandments.
He was a wealthy man. Jesus told him to give his money
to the poor and follow me. Of course he didn't want to and
went away. Jesus said with man it is impossible, believe on
me and you shall be saved, Accept jesus as your lord and savior
in your heart. Confess him with your mouth. Jesus said if you
don't confess me, I will not confess you in front of the father.
You are on your way!

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not die, but have everlasting life."
The answer is simple: Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ was sent to earth to pay for your sin. That's all there is to it.
