Israeli army VERSUS Palestinian militant groups : A fair battle?

not at all, the israeli army has the upper hand with all the weapons they have. They kill women and children for no reason, did you hear on the news this morning, 8 children were killed while they were sleeping!! 8 poor kids what did they ever do to the israeli arm??
when the US was handing out land to the Jews it should have considered giving up part of its own land because the way i see it this conflict will never end.

There is no such concept as a "fair battle". We are not talking American football, Olympic wrestling or even Roman gladiators.

We are talking about restraining terrorist attacks against a recognized state, and its inhabitants. Where one side as a suicidal mission to destroy a whole population and to terrorize and kill its citizens, including infants.

States do not so much concern themselves with niceties -- even of international law and Geneva Conventions -- in such cases, as the USA PATRIOT Act demonstrates.

You may have your own political views. In Europe, Israel is generally despised, and Jews take the brunt of that. But then many Europeans capitulate -- appease -- in the face of terror. It was true with the Nazis in 1936 and it is true today with al Qaeda and those like them.

That has also been the experience of Islam since the year 700 and it's why that religion has been so successful in its expansion. And of course it is an experience integrated into its beliefs, into the Koran.

It really is a cultural war between the civilized West and a backward-looking Political Islam. It may not be tactful to call it a Crusade, but it really is the last Crusade. Even if Jews are among those on the defensive, fighting back on behalf of Jesus.
