Yours sound Delicious! Anything with cheese though, cheese and onion, cheese and tomato and black pepper. When I was younger I used to crack an egg onto one slice of bread and quickly put the other slice on top and shut the sandwich maker, it was good but messy to make!

Cheese, tomato, even a little mayo or butter. Bacon or ham is a nice addition if I have some, but cooked first, warmed if cold. A slice of onion is not bad either. Also, would you believe, a teeny bit of baked beans?
Anything that will fit between a couple slices of good bread is worth a try.

Rye bread, Borden's White American Cheese, ripe tomato slices, more Cheese, more bread (in that order: top to bottom) butter on the outside. Medium low heat. Don't overbrown. Perfect! The cheese is the glue. That's why I put it next to both slices of bread.
Simplicity at its best!

Urgh, JYRW, I though my brother was the only wierdo who eats ham, cheese and jam!

I prefer just ham and good ol' cheddar myself!!! Oh and butter the outside of the bread before toasting it to make it crispy, yum!!!!

Try buying a can of baked beans with little sausages in - these are great for toasted sandwiches.
