That helped a lot. One must weigh the lesser evil. I will take indapamide if it will cure me, then take additional kalium also for my hypopotassemia.

For those websites listed, you still have to have a dr's prescription for them, they will not just send you narcotics by calling them. Even on the canada pharmacy site this is the disclaimer at the bottom: FDA's general position: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law. And the sites that say they will set you up with a telephone conference with a dr who send you pain meds is most likely illegal, I wouldn't take the risk. Most likely the pain pills you are getting will be coming from some 3rd world country, will almost certainly have been expired for a very long time, etc. And they will charge you an arm and a leg. It would probably be about $300/month. The sites themselves say they are legal, but the US and State government say they are not. I think I would believe the latter. So even if it was legal, I assure you it isn't safe or reliable. To cvtlady above: you cannot possibly be in the medical field and not know that hydrocodone comes in 10mg tablets! Of course it does. He didn't say vicodin, which is 5 mg tablets, he said hydrocodone which can come in 2.5, 5, 10mg and probably more. They come in 10mg/325 apap sometimes called norco, 10mg/650 called lorcet, lortab. That's fine if you didn't know this, but you shouldn't imply this guy's an idiot and doesn't know what he's talking about. Also, to the guy who asked the question, it is almost definate that you are exceeding the level of tylenol you should have in your body each day, slowly but surely killing your liver. What is the amount of APAP in your hydrocodone?

Indapamide is not the only diuretic that leaches potassium from your body, many that are used in the treatment of high blood pressure do this. However, I must disagree-Indapamide SHOULD NOT be banned because lots of people use it to successfully treat hypertension. I'm one of them. I went through 5 or 6 blood pressure medications before trying Indapamide and it has been the only one that has worked for me without side effects. Yes, I do have to take potassium capsules now, but that is a small price to pay to have my blood pressure regular.
I've never heard of Indapamide being used to reduce cholesterol but it's possible, I suppose.
Talk to your doctor about finding a different med for you.
Good luck!

Hello Rajendran,r u a medico? wat exactly where u diagnosed 4? u c u'v given a very incomplete question. pls don't mind my saying this. but Dr. is nt a fool. he must hv thought sumthng b4 prescribing.
I JUST WANT U 2 KNOW FEW DETAILS ABOUT D DRUG-- Indapamide is a mild diuretic(increase d rate & amt of urination). it reduces B.P. & also has vasodilator properties 4 better circulation of blood.but since medicines r chemicals they r nt wthout side effects. side effects r minor gastric upset, fatigue& decreased potassium levels.
U must b prescribed 4 hypertension &nt hypercholesterolemia as u state.
a request never stop medicines abruptly as they r harmful. if u can't tolerate d s.e. then ask 4 a change of medicine.
All medicines hv s.e. 2 sum extent depending on the pt. taking it. Indapamide is an imp. drug & till date nt proved harmful 2 d extent which requires it 2 b banned..
AREQUEST pls in4m ur Dr. about ur problem.
