This is a sick puppy. Did you get your puppy vaccinated for the parvovirus and did the vet do a parvovirus test? Because it sounds like he has the parvovirus. And unfortunately the odds are not good- especially if he hasn't eaten or drank anything for three days. You need to take the puppy to a veterinarian right away. I am not sure where you are referring to when you say TJ but go to a veterinarian in another town if you have to. Good Luck !

Honestly that sounds like parvo....my pup had that 3 months ago and didn't make it. i am asuming the vet tested for parvo because with all the symptoms he has...so most likely it came back neg...and this was the reason I lost my dog. The tes can still come back neg and it can be be parvo. The only way they can treat it is once they see blood. Than no matter what the test says it's parvo and the pup can be treated for parvo. The only question you asked up there was will my pup make it till morn.... I don't want to anwser that but I will say that mine lived for 3 days without water and food and than the vet did a hydration treament and prescribed diareah meds and vomitting meds the night of the 3rd day....he was doing better the 4th day but by day 5 in the morning was when they confirmed it was parvo and I had him put down. I couldn't afford the vet bill for a 2 weeks stay in the hospital and that's what it was going to be for such a sick puppy!! I hope your case turns out better and your puppy makes it...if it is parvo there's not much you can besides take him to an ER vet or just make him feel better. Someone said force feeding him water....I advise against this. If it is Parvo all your going to do is either make him throw up more or get water in his lungs. I used a hamster water bottle and that worked until he lost interest in drinking!! Again hope everything goes ok and best of luck!

Unless this pet is put in the vet hospital and administered IVs,he isn't going to make it.Change your vet, because he should have known the pet had parvo when he checked it.You must force feed this pet if he has any chance at all,as without food or water,he will pass.Give him the baby non-flavored pediolyte as much as you can get down him,and try boiling some chicken, cut in small pieces, put in a blender and puree the chicken into a soupy consistancy, force feed him this,or get some baby rice cereal, mix in some liquid, water will do and force feed him this, but he may not can hold any of this down, try to see a vet,and the sooner you can get it there, the better his chances are for survival.

My male Chi had parvo when he was about a year... I took him to the vet.. and he told me he had a 75% of dying... I cried and cried and cried amd just held him.. I stayed up all night and day squirting gatorade down his throat making him keep it down. The vet also gave an antibiotic shot.... he was fine within 4 days. But it was just a miracle. im not trying to give u false hope nor am i trying to say he is goin to die. Just pray hold him and love him. I truly hope everything works out for you and your baby...

I felt so sad reading your question.
Here's a couple of pages on parvo:

http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&articleid=467
It looks like pumping the dog full of fluids is the best hope, so keep going with the fluids. It also looks like i.v. fluids might be needed.
Where did you get him? A breeder? If so, call them ASAP if they are close by maybe they can help.
Look for another vet???
Is there are Rottweiler Club near you? Check online and call their numbers and see if anyone can give you any suggestions. Try a Rottie rescue near you---they may have access to vets who can help you. Look on petfinder (www.petfinder.com)
or find a breed club
this is the am rott club site:

My heart aches for you. Good luck.

Use a syringe with the needle removed and squirt a little water at a time toward the back of his throat so that he gets some fluids -- then to the vet as soon as one is available.

It could be a number of things including Parvo.
I hate to tell you this but your pup needs to be put onto a drip ASAP. If you can take him to a proper vet hospital for treatment.

Go to the following web site and:
1. Click on "PET HEALTH" tab.
2. Click on "Signs of Ill Health" button under Dog Health.
This will tell you what is wrong with your pup.
I found out that my cat had bladder stone and saved his life by a couple hours by going to this web site.

It sounds like Parvo. All I could do is give my pupu his meds and just pray he made it cuz they usually dont. Mine on other hand was a blessing. I hope he gets better. Sorry. I love animals.
