There is nothing much of a contradiction in the Bible. My quarrel is only with the interpretation of Bible by the church. The church and evangelists have been literally interpreting some of the allegorical stories in the Bible and creating a false dogma around them. They are responsible for the ridiculous theology that the christian the logy has turned out to be.

If truth be told, the butchering of the Sacred Scriptures into what we know today as the Holy Bible was performed not by the original prophets and scribes but by the COMPILERS of the early church [the newly-formed RCC in circa 325 AD!] who were known as the "Septuagint", since there were seventy of them--[church scribes]--who were "assigned" to put the various books together, as ordered by Emperor Constantine.
The hundreds of original books or Sacred Scrolls that were hunted down vigorously by the then powerful RCC were written in various languages including Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek and they were all converted into Greek, then subsequently into the Latin Vulgate.
It was during these "compilations" that many of the verses were altered, butchered and heavily editorialized to suit the needs of the early church at that time. The Bible was never intended to be for public viewing and was restricted to the use of the church clergy ONLY... until the Great Reformation and the first printing press came about in the 16th century when the Bible was first translated into German and shortly thereafter into English and became available to the public. In fact, up to now the members of the RCC are not really being encouraged to read the Bible, nor does the church even offer any Bible study like what most Protestant denominations do routinely.
And here's the real kicker: Unfortunately--and unbeknownst to many Biblical scholars and MOST Christian faithful alike--, while the modern-day translations of the Bible into the various languages has remained quite accurate and very close to its predecessor Latin Vulgate source, IT IS THE SAME Bible that had ALREADY BEEN TAMPERED WITH since the get go in the mid-4th century A.D.!!
As the Good Book says, "Seek and you shall find. Listen and you shall hear. Open your eyes and you shall see. Knock and the door shall be opened for you."
Peace be with you.

Hi,
you know the Bible, there is no passages that contradict other passages in the Bible. When reading some passages you should take in consideration the background of the author as well as circumstances he has written it.
You are right when telling that there is a lot of mistakes in some Bible translation, and this is due to the fact that some translators to not take into consideration what is written on the original Scriptures. One Bible that really make translation as per original scripts is the " New World Translation" , published by Jehovah Witness'. You will be astonished to find notes referring you to the original words.

The Bible would appear to be like a street directory that needs to be continually updated. Inspired by God written by men. Whenever text is changed by 'so many cooks' the real meaning is changed by the cooks and so the recipe loses its originality. Lost in the dusts of time many books are the same. Do we really need another street directory or can we make do with FAITH IS THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN AND YET BELIEVED IN. Blessed be.

The problem with the concept of re-compiling it with more literal translations is that whose translation are you going to take as the most correct. The bible as it is today is open to interperetaion and is interperated so differently by so many different people. For example, how can some christians say it is ok to be gay whilst others say all gays will burn in hell. If it were re-compiled, whose interperatation should we listed to, Jimmy Baker (no, I'm not jimmy baker miss prostitute), or Cretin Dollar (the surname says it all). This is one of the most fundamental problems with organised (KFC churches) religeon.

If you have ever really read the whole bible, you will know that it never contradicts itself as you say. The Bible has one Theme: The Vindication of God's holy name and the Fulfilling of his purpose towards our planet earth.
Get your facts correctly before you judge
