After opening exel when i click on open icon a window comes. On left side of this window in 'look in ' portion nothing working. when i open exel it opens very very slowly.

Reinstall Excel from your MS Office CD. Run anti virus and anti spyware programs. Defragment your hard disk. It will resolve your problems. If you still face the same problem, install the latest service pack of MS Office and your opearting syatem. 90 % chances are that your problem no longer exists.

I'm no expert but that doesn't sound right.
Have you cleaned the spyware off of your computer? If not, go to download.com and download and install Ad-Aware and Spy-bot, they're free and safe and won't put other crap on your computer. Maybe it's a virus, do you have virus protection.
Microsoft.com also has info about Excel and things you can download regarding that program as well as trouble shooting information.

Dear First of all u must give ur configuration.
well if rest programs runs properly then it is the problem.
just do it....
reinstall ur office after uninstalling completely. if the problem persist then reinstall ur windows. (But be sure that urs system is good config.)
it cud solve ur problems.

This is not possibly an EXCEL error, but seems to be more windows error. The API seems to be not working fine.

ur pc is quiet slow. Add additional ram (i recommend ddr2 512 ram for best performance!). also befour running excel, shut down other programmes.
