A MySQL server can be loaded on Windows 98/ME/XP... if you know how to configure & run said server.

Yes It is can.

For Ms SQLServer 2000 it is personal Edition
Ms SQL Server Enterprise Edition is For Windows Server OS (Win2000 server, Win2003 server)

other SQL it should be OK like My SQL

My PC now installed with Ms SQL 2000 Server Personal Edition SP4

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 has its own operating system. Another OS is not needed for the box.

you want the MSDE (Microsoft pc Engine) sq. Server 2000 installation. in case you want the sq. 2005 software for XP, that is necessary to get the "exhibit version". XP isn't a server OS, so Microsoft made a pair particular variations of sq. Server.
