If you want to send a care package or be a penpal, the best site to use is AnySoldier. There, you will find troops from all branches of the military and all ranks and both sexes listed. It will state if they want a penpal or what items they or their unit could use in a care package. It will also give their address so that you can send it directly to them.

Thank you for your willingness to support our troops. Morale and knowing the people back home care is a huge part of their lives. Please just be cautious of websites asking for donations and such. Even during this time and for this cause, there are many scams out there.

If you'd like links to any other sites, please leave a message here and I'll post them for you. I try not to post all of them because there's quite an extended list, but most of them are ones that we in the military are told are safe and trusted. I usually just post the source link for what I think is best suited for what's being asked.

Thanks again from and Army wife of 18 years and 3 deployments!!

There are many ways of showing our support, many groups to join on the Yahoo boards.
As the Proud Army Mom of a Soldier, we know the sacrifices they make daily on a VOLUNTEER basis.
I challenge anyone to spend one day as a US Soldier, stand on that wall and then make inane comments about 'lobbying for early withdrawal'. No Mother or Father wants to see their child go to another place where they are shot at, blown up and attend the funerals of a Fallen Angel. Yet, we do and they do with HONOR.
I have two Soldiers currently deployed with our youngest leaving for Basic in June. We lost a son on Sept. 2nd. Please don't tell me how this war should or shouldn't be 'waged'. Only a Soldier or Veteran has earned that right.
We support our Military personnel and honor our Veterans.
Please visit any of the websites listed in other posts and you'll be rewarded, knowing you've made one small difference in a Soldier's life.
Thank you.

I remember hearing just a few days ago that for security reasons, individual care packages were no longer being allowed ... however, we can contribute towards care packages via some gov't approved organizations.

Below are a bunch of sites that will advise you of numerous ways to support our troops:

http://www.isupportourtroops.us/

http://www.supportthetroops.com/

http://www.flameoflife.us/

I found these sites via Ask.com ... you might find even more if you try Google.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, I believe you might find a link or two on Oprah's site.

Thank you for your question!

Petition Congress to order the President to get them out of that invaded land. Contgact your local DMV or VA place and ask them how you can help. But the main help is the citizens action, the inaction is almost reprehensible and I am ashamed to call myself an American as long as this mad man president twists and changes the Constitution to suit the wants of the few over the needs of the many.
Send em a happy card.

TY Allen!!!!! you are a true American!
Indeed there are ways to support your troops! I cant speak for them, but I am sure they would very much appreciate it.
Dont listen to these...animals in here trying to throw sticks in your wheelspokes. I wish they would not say anything if it doesnt pertain to the askers subject....its irritating.
Go ahead, support them. I fly colors for them, I tag my truck with pro-troops stuff...They are hero's! Thats it.

The Pentagon is asking people to help through financial contributions, letter-writing and e-mail, purchasing authorized pre-made care packages, or volunteering time through non-profits.

This website will show you lots of links to programs that offer aid to our military -- everything from care packages to emergency services to military family support:

You could contribute to one of the troops causes. My husband's unit, in Afghanistan, is sponsoring a school of 8000 students and is looking for donations of school supplies. I am sure his unit is not alone in their actions and there are many worthwhile causes out there. If you are looking for a personal contact you could try the USO. Good luck and thanks for thinking of them.

vote for a government that will not risk their lives for wrong reasons.
They must obey orders so need you to make sure those orders are wise and good. without an informed electorate, the soldiars may be killed for no good reasons. read, study, and apply what you learn.
Do not believe everything that you are told. question authority. the soldiar cannot but you can do it for him or her.
