Before "doing adult stuff" i would consider the ages on both sides as well as the maturity and how GROWN UP we are,then before putting myself in that position of not knowing,would always check with partner where we are at and going.
Thus avoiding the complications and awkwardness of any situation.
They could cry RAPE at anytime,think how would you explain you wouldn`t and didn`t,always ask,even if it is just for GROWN UP stuff.
And condoms are a great item,compare the price of a condom to the price of 18+yrs maintenance for a child.

One or the other person may just be enjoying the moment. Also, you have to realize how long has this been going on. Is it a new friendship? If it's only a few months old, then the excitement is still there - the "newness" of the relationship. The other person may not want to be tied down.
"Why pay for the cow when you can get the milk for free?"
In other words: Why he or she commit to you when you are giving them all of the "benefits" of a committed relationship? This allows them to "keep their options open".

There are a couple of reasons I have run across:
1. (S)He's been badly hurt
2. (S)He's a sociopath.
3. (S)He's a player.
4. (S)He is using you.
5. You have vastly different ideas of what constitutes a relationship.

u can't consider her ur girlfiend bcoz suppose if u got 10 girls grown up with u they all can't be ur girlfriends. until ur heart choose any one of them and says that she can be ur girlfriend.
