There is a set of fluffy white sheepdogs. I have a Great Pyrenees. There are kuvasz, tatra sheepdog, chuvach and maremma which are large white dogs. I had a samoyed. She was lovely, but now I still have white hair in my vicinity all the time. Little white dogs would include the bolognese, coton de tular, Japanese spitz and the volpino Italiano. I have found the white sheepdogs interesting because they are spread from Turkey through Europe. They have very old roots.

Check out Havanese. They are small, fluffy, and white with some occasional spots of dark fur. They are very cute and have a terrific personality, but they are kinda hard to find. Also, there are white poodles of all sizes. Also, look for "designer dogs" like peek-a-poos and chi-a-poos which are both poodle mixes that can produce the kind of look you're wanting. These types of dogs are registerable under some kennel clubs.

Try Eskimo Spitz. We had three when I was a girl and they were great. They are a lot like a Samoyed only a little smaller; around 20 or 30 pounds and do great in cold or heat. We had ours in Texas and it gets really hot there in the summer and gets around zero in the winter. They were outside dogs and were great with us kids and all the kids that came to visit us. they do make good watchdogs, though as they will bark when someone comes to your house but settle down quickly once they've warned you. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/americaneskimo.htm

Pekengise dogs in white are the cutest things ever (some pictures of them are absolutely horrifying, but regular haircuts do the trick).
