Not true at all. I have a friend who works for coke where they do the bottling and they do not change the formula. The formula is a secret and only a few people know it. It may come in a different bottle, but it has the same ingredients. maybe yours comes in a glass bottle because ours come in cans and plastic now.

Of course it's true!!! Even though the formula may be the same, the ingredients are entirely different in other countries, in the USA , home of Coca Cola, you get the original/strong formula and taste, I've been to other countries and it tastes so different, it's weaker in Latin America, also in China, and some other parts of the world, even the name is not the same, , it's more concentrated in the US
Diet coke for instance in Mexico it's called Coca Cola light and is mostly sold in bottles, not cans, of course food and beverages will be different in parts of the world, it is perfectly normal, unless you buy original in the US. and there will also be exceptions as well. It all depends.

If you are ever in Atlanta, Georgia go to the World of Coke. They have all types of sodas that Coca-Cola makes and/or ships out to different countries all over the world. You can taste samples of them all there. It is amazing to see how many different soft drinks they make and the tastes and flavors are widely varied everywhere Coke products are sold. Trust me on this. I know this product and am on the inside track. Whatever you do just drink Coke - it is the real thing!

Yes it seems to be true.I myself have tasted coke in other countries and found them to be slightly different. It is my suspicion that they may be altering the tastes a wee bit to suit the regional tastes. Besides the water which is mixed is also a factor to be borne in mind. A lot depends on the respective countries and the acceptance of the people and governments where they are sold.

It's difficult to give a 100% sure answer to this one. I do believe international snack and soft drinks companies change the recipe slightly to cater to local tastes, especially on issues like sweetness and spiciness. Also, local laws may allow more flavoring ingredients than laws in other countries.
The companies themselves keep remarkably quiet on this topic but maintain that the product is as close to the original as possible.
Some Americans unfortunately believe that we are the center of the universe and just verbalize without thinking, so sorry. But take a look at the cricket section and you'll see a lot of Indians can get like that too!! ; -)

I know Coke definitely tasted different in Europe. It tasted extremely flat, and yet it was coming out of a spout with a C02 tank. Kinda weird.

i've drank coke from many countries, some of which were given to me from friends who travel overseas (i collect coke bottles/ cans)...
usa, singapore, malaysia, indonesia, india, japan, korea, taiwan, hong kong, thailand, philipines, canada, italy, portugal, canada, and blah blah blah...
my favorite is from america & japan!
although its stated that its the same formula in every country, i have my doubts. probably because in each country, certain ingrediants are limited to certain amount...but that's my guess.
