I think that it'll be right to tell him about your feelings.
He's your closest friend, he'll understand you.
Maybe he loves you too , but he can't tell you about it , and only one thing he needs is your love.
It's time to move on!Go and tell him about your love ,don't worry ,we're with you!:):):)

It is always bad to be in a situation that causes you pain. You can follow one of a few strategies:
1) Tell him, maybe something will start (maybe not) but probably wont last.
2) Leave and move on.
3) Start hanging out with someone else, get this guy thinking about whether or not he wants a relationship from you - if not hanging out with someone else may make things easier on yourself.

Don't worry and tell him what you feel. Men are always easier to accept a friendship evolving to a relation.
If you are refused, however, then this would mean he has no interest in you at all as a partner. So if that is the case, you must face it too. I don't think this will ruin your friendship... If you are that close as you say, your friendship should last such an emotional crack...

It will probably affect your friendship, but in a good way or a positive way, you'll never know unless you come out with it. As well, you'll continue to suffer in silence if you don't come forward and put this out on the table.

Tell him.
Almost always a guy who is nominally your friend really wants more.

probably. But he deserves to know the truth...that way at least you'll never wonder "what if".
